In 1993, Ramin and Behzad met each other for the first time and together they formed a band called "The Anonymous". The band was broken in 1997 but Ramin and behzad hold tight and continued playing together. In 1999 they began to study world music at The School of Music and Musicology at Gothenburg University (1999), they also became members of the world music band "Euriadne" which toured in both Sweden and Germany.

At the same time they started the band "FANOOS" and began to write their own music. The lyrics that they chose was the words of one of the greatest poets of Iran through the history, Sohrab Sepehri. The result after years of major efforts was Fanoos debut album "Abe Ravan" which was released in beginning of 2003.

Today FANOOS consists of three head members: vocalist & guitarist Behzad, vocalist & guitarist Ramin and vocalist & keyboardist Babak. Right now we're in the process of recruiting new band members and recording several new songs which we hope we can release within short....
